Let me just begin by saying that this series is a must read. You feel like you are on a roller coaster ride throughout this series but Holly does not disappoint. She is known for her cliffhangers but that is part of the enjoyment of reading this series...sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the next book to be released. That being said, I was very excited to see some of the chapters written from Sean's POV. It was nice to get some insight into what Sean was thinking and feeling. This book gives you a greater insight into Sean's past and how what happened to him still weighs heavy on his mind and affects the present and possibly his future with Avery. I really expected this book to be the continuation toward a happy ending but no such luck. Holly you have once again thrown a wrench in the machine. I totally did not see this ending coming. Needless to say it left me with a WTF feeling and wanting to strangle Sean and Miss Black. WTH is going on with those two anyway. What is the secret that Sean was beginning to tell Avery before they were interrupted? Sean has got a lot of explaining to do and it better be good. Because I think if it isn't he may have lost Avery forever. For crying out loud the girl can only have her heart broken so many times. I read this book twice. Believe me once is not enough especially when you see the ending. I was left feeling like I wanted to kick Sean's a** . I felt like just when it seemed that Avery and Sean were getting closer and he had to go and mess it up. I know that there are a lot of different directions this could take, but I trust that Holly will not disappoint her loyal fans. As always I will patiently wait for Arrangement 14!Product details

I am addicted to this series, but at the same time I'm getting close to the point where I'm ready to move forward a bit. In the 13th installment we get a surprise appearance from a very missed character from another HMW series but we also get a very shocking moment with Sean that just did not sit well with me.
The one thing I've loved about this series from day one is Sean. He is broken and as damaged as they come - but he has always seemed to do the right things; even when acting like a jerk. You knew his reasons behind his constant pushing of Avery - for the first time his actions just could not be justified.
The series seems to be giving us far more twists than answers; I am not sure how much longer it will continue on. I know I'll still read them, but I am getting a bit more frustrated with the dramatic cliffhanger endings and not getting any story line resolutions. Hopefully with Trystan, Bryan and Jonathan's books heading our way soon - we'll start to see the HEA form for Avery and Sean.
I know most people don't like cliffhangers, but that gives us something to look forward to. I believe Sean really loves Avery but he has got to get his act together first before they can really be together, and what's up with California. I was really surprised about Miss Black, is she friend or an enemy, I really don't know but I am hoping friend because if not, what is going to happen to Avery. Avery has had such a hard life and just when you think she is going to get her HEA, another roadblock pops up. I have read this from the beginning and I shouldn't be surprised that HM has done it again, she has left us wanting more, this could go on forever and I love it. I like the way she is introducing other family members, getting us ready for other books coming out. If you haven't read the rest of her books you really need to. Can't wait for Arrangement 14, please hurry.
I know Holly is sick of people saying the following about this story being in so many parts, but by god, you just get into the story and it's gone again. I know there is nothing to be done about this and it will continue forever. It will suck in more people like myself to feel so addicted to hearing about Sean and Avery, it's like crack to me, I'm so hooked. I get that it will happen as it will happen, but when you are like my dealer and you provide me with this substance of the Ferro variety, I go nuts waiting for the next fix.
That being said, loved the content of 13. The engagement gift, so freaking sexy, just makes me love Sean more. But the cliff hanger, without spoiling, really, this is where we are going in 14, seriously. Avery just can't catch a break. The possibility of Sean breaking Avery's heart is just too much. I know there must be a good explanation for the new obstacle in Avery's happy ever after, but god this girl has had enough.
Again that being said, now I am on the edge waiting for the next hit. Ward you are slowly killing me. I have read all you have written, I do love your style don't get me wrong, but too short on the Sean fix he is still my favourite.
Bring on 14.
